To ensure the safety and comfort of guests staying at Biwako Hotel, every guest is requested to observe and comply with the following House Regulations established in accordance with Article 10 of our Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contracts. If a guest does not comply with these regulations, Biwako Hotel may choose not to permit further use by the guest of the guest’s hotel room or other hotel facilities. The guest may be asked to compensate for damage in the event of an accident, and the Hotel may not be liable for such damages.
Rules for Your Safety and Security
1. Please check the evacuation route map posted on the back of the guest room door and the emergency exits on each floor immediately upon your arrival.
2. Do not bring or use any open flames, such as for heating or cooking, in the Hotel.
3. Smoking is prohibited in all guest rooms and on balconies. Please use the smoking room on the second floor if you wish to smoke, including electronic cigarettes.
4. Do not use fireworks, incense, candles, or any other items that may cause a fire.
5. Please do not touch firefighting or other equipment except in an emergency.
6. Please make sure your room is locked when you leave it during your stay.
(The door will lock automatically when closed.)
7. Please lock your room and lock the door, especially when you are sleeping. If you have a visitor, do not open the door carelessly; leave the door hook locked or check through the peephole. If you are visited by a suspicious person, contact the front desk immediately.
8. Please refrain from meeting visitors in the guest room.
Valuables
Please use the safe provided in your guest room to store cash and valuables.
Please be advised that the Hotel cannot be held responsible for cash or valuables lost in your guest room.
Deposits
As a general rule, lost items will be kept for seven days, including the day they are found, unless otherwise specified, after which they will be handled by the Hotel in accordance with the law.
Prohibitions
1. Do not bring into the hotel any items that may disturb other guests.
(1)Dogs (excluding guide dogs, hearing dogs, service dogs, and other assistance dogs for people with disabilities), cats, small birds, or other pets;
(2)Unclean or foul-smelling items;
(3)Flammable items, such as gunpowder and volatile oil;
(4)Firearms or swords prohibited by law.
2. Do not engage in gambling, acts that disrupt public morals or peace, loud singing, playing musical instruments, or any other behavior that may disturb other guests.
3. Do not use hotel facilities or equipment for purposes other than those designated.
4. Do not engage in business activities in guest rooms or the lobby, or use them as offices or for purposes other than accommodation.
5. Do not affix foreign objects to the Hotel building or equipment or alter their current state. If you damage, contaminate, or lose any Hotel property, including buildings, fixtures, or other items, due to reasons other than force majeure, you may be required to pay a reasonable compensation.
6. Please refrain from smoking in guest rooms or balconies, and from littering from balconies.
7. If smoking in a guest room is confirmed, a cleaning fee (50,000 yen) will be charged in addition to the accommodation fee.
8. Please refrain from advertising, distributing promotional materials, or selling items to other guests inside the Hotel.
9. Please refrain from ordering food or drink deliveries from outside the Hotel.
10. Please do not leave personal belongings in the hallways or lobby.
11. Please do not wear your nightwear, samue (top and bottom wear), or slippers in the main lobby, restaurant, or facilities other than the guest room and public bath.
12. Guests with tattoos are not permitted to use the public hot spring bath.
13. Photography is prohibited in the changing rooms and bathrooms of the public hot spring bath. Additionally, the operation of devices with camera functions, such as smartphones, cell phones, and games, is prohibited.
14. Minors are not permitted to stay alone without parental consent.
Emergencies
The use of open flames in guest rooms is strictly prohibited. In the event of a fire, please contact the operator. Hotel staff will provide evacuation guidance in the event of a fire, earthquake, or other disaster. Please follow the guidance to evacuate.
Other Rules
We reserve the right to refuse accommodation and use of the Hotel if any of the following items (4), (5), (6), (7), (8), (9), (10), (11), or (12) of Article 5 of our separate Terms and Conditions for Accommodation Contracts apply to you.
